TEHRAN, Iran - At least 15 people were killed and 40 injured in an attack on a Shi'ite shrine in Shiraz, southern Iran, a report said. As per the report, the attack, which happened at the Shah Cheragh shrine on Wednesday morning, was carried out by three gunmen who entered the site. Two of the three attackers were arrested, and one is still on the run from police. In a statement published on its Telegram channel, ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. Iranian state media previously reported that the attackers were not Iranian nationals. A woman and two children were reportedly among those massacred in Shiraz, according to the report. The shrine is a top destination for religious tourists, according to local media. It is a well-known place of pilgrimage and tourism.
