Military media said that approximately 12 innocent ladies were gunned down while on their way to cultivate their land. The heart-rending incident occurred on Wednesday, when insurgents opened fire on a vehicle carrying female farmers, killing 12 of them.   The women from a pro-military village were going to work in Kywei Pon village when gun-wielding attackers opened fire on them, according to press reports.  No group has claimed responsibility for Tuesday's attack in the Sagaing region.  Three wounded women were transported to a hospital for proper treatment and medical attention. 

Typhoon Yagi left at least 226 people dead and 350,000 refugees in Myanmar Typhoon Yagi's powerful storm, which has wreaked havoc throughout countries of Southeast Asia, brought about at least 226 deaths in Myanmar as of Tuesday. The state-run MRTV said that at least 350,000 people had been relocated and that many more were still missing.  Several regions in Myanmar have reportedly been harmed by flooding, including the state capital Naypyidaw, the central Mandalay region, the Kayah, Kayin, and Shan states, government-run TV reported citing the authority's source.  Typhoon Yagi, the greatest typhoon to reach the region this year, caused adverse climates that resulted in hundreds of deaths in Vietnam and Thailand.
