Iran, US Nuclear Talks: Both Parties Will Meet Again Next Week

 O n Saturday, Iran and the United States announced that they will hold more talks next week.  Through an Omani official serving as a mediator, Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, and Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi exchanged messages. Both sides have classified Muscat's first round of indirect talks as productive. Iranian state TV said that the nuclear talks between the two countries happened in a "positive vibe. On April 13, President Trump said that the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran in Oman are "progressing well." He made this announcement while addressing reporters aboard Air Force One before attending a UFC event in Miami.

Negotiation With Iran 'Progressing ' : Trump

US-Washington  —  Following the recent talks between US and Iranian delegations in Oman, US President Donald Trump said that the nuclear negotiations with Iran have been "progressing well. Before the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event in Miami, Trump addressed reporters aboard Air Force One, saying that although progress on tariffs and Ukraine is favorable, there comes a time when one must "either put up or shut up."

Iranian General Makes Strategic Visit To Pakistan

General Asim Munir, Pakistan's army chief, HAD invited Iran's top general to visit Pakistan for two days. He is scheduled to meet with senior Pakistani military leaders, as well as the president, prime minister, and defense minister. Major General Mohammad Bagheri, thinks that the Islamic Republic and Pakistan's military and security relations are becoming better with each passing day. General Mohammad Bagheri, who arrived in Islamabad on Sunday, told reporters that "we have witnessed significant developments in the region over the past year, where Iran and Pakistan, as two Islamic nations, are located in the historically important regions of West and South Asia." Topics of discussion include current regional developments, border safety, the fight against terrorism, and growing levels of defense and military cooperation.

Saudi Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Is On Iran Trip

MIDDLE EAST NEWS  — (Daily Post) -  Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, the chief of General Staff of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces, arrived in Iran along with a high-level military delegation.  The Saudi army's general chief of staff, Fayyad al-Ruwaili, was scheduled to visit Tehran to meet his Iranian counterpart and discuss collaborating in the defense sector. Saudi military chief of Staff Fayyad Al Ruwaili paid a visit to his Iranian counterpart "General Mohammad on Sunday at the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff Headquarters" in the capital, according to the official news agency IRNA. Fayyad Al-Ruwaili and Iranian Major General Mohammad discussed strategies that would strengthen defense and military cooperation between the two countries. MBS Wants Healthy Relations With Iran

Muhammad bin Salman al Saud, the King and Crown Prince  of Saudi Arabia  congratulated Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on getting elected President of Iran. "I reiterate my dedication to growing and deepening the relations between Islamic countries and people and serve our mutual interests," Irna News Agency noted Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as saying. The crown prince, MBS, conveyed his "genuine congratulations and best wishes for success and further progress and progress for your country and brotherly people," offering his "desire to develop and deepen relations that unite our two countries and peoples and serve our common interests,".  MBS emphasized the close links between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia.  

The inflation rate in Iran shrinks to 37%

According to the most recent official economic numbers published by the government's statistics department elaborated that Iran's annual inflation rate has reached 37%, its lowest in the past 3 years. The Statistical Center of Iran released data on May 23 that showed the annual inflation rate for the period of April 11–May 11 was 37 percent, the lowest since 2021. Since assuming office in August 2021, the government of late President Ebrahim Raisi took steps to enhance the economy and increase people's purchasing power. According to World Bank data published in December 2023, Iran's GDP grew for a record-breaking fourth year.  The success of the Iranian government in reducing inflation and bringing stability to the currency market was recognized in the report.
