USA: 67 killed After passenger plane crashed in Washington DC

Washington DC, USA— (Daily Post) - Approximately 67 people were killed when an American Airlines passenger aircraft crashed in Washington DC.  A US Army Black Hawk helicopter crashed into the icy Potomac River close to Reagan Washington National Airport on Wednesday, after a deadly collision with a passenger Jet.  All of the passengers were killed when an American Airlines flight collided with a helicopter as it headed to Reagan Airport in Washington.  The passenger plane and helicopter fell into the Potomac River, killing everyone on board, according to President Donald Trump. At least 28 corpses have been retrieved from the river where the Blackhawk chopper and Aircraft 5342 crashed.  Authorities said it is improbable that anyone survived the terrible incident.  Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari all conveyed their deep sorrow at the loss of precious lives. 

US Revokes $10 Million Bounty For Detention Of Syrian New Leader

The United States $10 million prize for detention of Ahmed al-Sharaa, also known as Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, the Rebel leader who led the rebellion against President Bashar al-Assad, has been scrapped. A high-level diplomat confirmed that the US is suspending a $10 million bounty for the arrest of Syria's new leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, following an uprising that ousted President Bashar al-Assad. The statement came after Barbara Leaf, the US's senior diplomat for the Middle East, met Ahmed al-Sharaa in Damascus, the first time U.S. officials have visited Syria's capital since the start of the civil conflict.  In a digital briefing to journalists on Friday, Barbara A. Leaf, assistant secretary of state for near eastern affairs, said that the decision to forgo the prize on Hayat Tahrir al-Sham commander Sharaa is a "policy decision" taken as Washington starts its engagement with the rebel group.

Kamala Harris Under Fire For Missing Netanyahu's Speech

US Vice President Kamala Harris along with more than 80 House Democrats and at least six Democratic senators will not attend Netanyahu's speech, according to CNN. On Thursday, Kamala will be having a meeting with the head of Israel. According to the US media, Kamala Harris, the vice president of the United States, has been heavily criticized by Republicans for skipping Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's joint Congressional address on Wednesday to campaign in Indiana. US Targets West Bank's Outposts and Extremist Settlers In Series Of Fresh Sanctions

The United States of America on Thursday imposed its 6th round of sanctions on Israeli extremists and unlawful West Bank outposts. Three persons and five entities were targeted with sanctions, including the lehava group, which opposes marriage between Jews and non-Jews and is an ally of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.  Itamar Ben Gvir was already targeted by the Biden administration sanctions earlier this year. The lehava group is anti-miscegenation, opposing marriages between Jews and non-Jews, which are outlawed by Orthodox Jewish law. The group has more than 10,000 members.     Most organizations and people targeted by the Biden administration sanctions have ties to those sanctioned in the prior four rounds. The USA sanctioned four unlawful outposts: Manne Farm, Meitarim Farm, Hamahoch Farm, and Neriya's Farm. Rumors That Pakistan Is Giving Military Bases To Other Nations Refuted

ISPR said on Tuesday that it didn't give military bases to any foreign country. Divergent reports regarding Pakistan's offer of bases to the US, a longtime ally, are circulating on social media. At a news conference in the northeastern garrison city of Rawalpindi, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reportedly said, "Neither Pakistan has provided military bases to anyone, nor would it do."  Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry replied to a query regarding whether Pakistan has provided the US with military bases in southern Balochistan and northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.  Unverified reports on social  media suggest that America wants to establish two military sites in Pakistan to monitor Iran, Afghanistan, and China.

Torrential Downpours In Brazil Left Scores Dead & 160 Missing

The death toll from severe rains that brought about floods in Brazil's southern state of Rio Grande do Sul has reached at least 80 and  leaving more than 111,000 people homeless,  the state government said on Sunday. Along with the cabinet-level officials, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva landed in Rio Grande do Sul on Sunday morning for discussions with local authorities regarding relief and reconstruction efforts.  "Bureaucracy will not stand in our way of restoring the state's achievement," Lula pointed out during a press conference.  Volunteers helped trapped citizens during ongoing rescue attempts by swimming, jet skiing, and even using boats.  State governor Eduardo Leite stated, "It's a predicament situation that requires post-flood actions."One of the eyewitnesses in the state capital Porto Alegre claimed that since Friday, he and three buddies have used jet skis to rescue hundreds of people from floodwaters on nearby islands.  Severe floods h...

Fresh String Of Shootings In US Claimed 10 Lives In Fort Worth & Philadelphia

AMERICA, Washington DC  —  Officials say ten people died in mass shootings in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Fort Worth before the weekend of July 4, highlighting the United States' decades-long struggle to control gun bloodshed.  As reported by authorities, a mass shooting during a local event in Fort Worth, Texas, killed three people and wounded eight more.  Another shooting took place in Philadelphia on Monday night, killing five people and injuring two more when a suspect wearing a bullet-proof suit opened fire on an unidentified person, according to local authorities. Among the injured were a toddler and a teenager.  The incident on Monday night occurred the day after an outburst of gunfire at an outdoor gathering in Baltimore, Maryland left two people dead and 28 wounded, nearly half of them children.  There was no clear clue as to the motives of the three shooters. US is set to dismantle its chemical weapons stocks

 According to US President Biden, the US government is ready to complete its chemical weapons elimination process by 2023. "I  urge every nation to stand up for the truth and join us in promoting accountability for violations of this treaty," US President Joe Biden said.  Biden issued the statement ahead of the Chemical Weapons Convention's fifth review conference, which is scheduled to be held in The Hague from May 15-19. A gunman kills 8 people at a mall in Texas

A gunman opened fire at a popular mall north of Dallas on Saturday, killing eight people and wounding at least seven others, authorities said.  The gunman was shot and killed by an officer, in Texas.  During the press conference, Police informed that the shooter operated alone, and his motivations were unclear.  At the same press conference, Allen Fire Station Chief, John Boyd revealed that his department had transported at least nine people with gunshot wounds to nearby hospitals. Two of them died in hospital, according to Boyd, who spoke at a second news conference late Saturday.  Three victims are in serious condition and four others are in stable condition.

USA: Mississippi Shooting Left 5 Dead

Four people were killed in gun violence in Mississippi, and a possible suspect was found dead The USA,(Daily Post). Local media reported another shooting, this time in Mississippi, in which four people were killed and the suspect was found dead.    Authorities said Wednesday that the possible suspect in the fatal shooting of the owner and two employees of a Mississippi Gulf Coast local hotel, as well as the subsequent death of a person shot during a carjacking, was found dead after a standoff with police.  Jeremy Alesunder Reynolds, 32, was identified as a possible suspect by Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer.   As per the incoming chief of the Gulfport Police Department, Adam Cooper, Reynolds holed up at a Gulfport convenience store after fleeing a stolen vehicle.  Gulfport is located just west of Biloxi, where the shootings at the Broadway Inn Express motel occurred.   Switzer told news outlets that the victims were motel owner Mohammad Moeini, ...

New York : 2 killed After Mercy Flight air ambulance crash

New York ,(Daily Post).  A Mercy Flight air ambulance crashed during a test flight in New York, killing two people.   Mercy Flight Air Ambulance helicopter crashed near Elba, New York on Tuesday afternoon, killing two people.   According to the New York State Police, troops were dispatched to the crash site near Norton Road in Genesee County at 1 p.m.   The police reported that the plane hit electrical wires while descending, but they do not believe this is the cause of the incident. "We do not know why the helicopter went down at the moment," Major Eugene Staneshevsky told a news conference near the crash site on Tuesday afternoon.    The accident is currently being investigated by police.  As per local authorities, they are investigating whether anyone else was injured as a result of the incident.  The investigation could last a month or longer. The chopper's engine is thought to have failed at the time of the  mishap .

USA: Pennsylvania Shooting Kills 2, Injures 9

The USA,(Daily Post). At least 2 youngsters were killed and at least nine wounded in a nighttime shooting in Pittsburgh's East Allegheny area, officials said early Sunday. According to a press release from the city of Pittsburgh, the shooting occurred at 12:32 when a huge party was in full swing, in a short-term rented house, where up to 200 people had gathered.  Pittsburgh is a city in western Pennsylvania, USA, located at the confluence of three rivers. The press release further added that many of those who attended the party were under the age of 21. Police said officers responding to the scene on Suismon Avenue and Madison Avenue saw several youths fleeing the area. Both the victims were male.  Police did not say what caused the shooting or if anyone was arrested but said there was no danger to the public.  America's weak gun control measures have made shooting more frequent.  About 37,000 people were killed in the USA in armed violence in 2019.
