India: Stampede At Maha Kumbh festival Killed 39 Devotees

New Delhi, India —  At least 39 pilgrims were killed and 60 more were injured in a stampede at the Kumbh Mela, also called the Maha Kumbh Mela, in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday dawn, according to the government.   Between 1:00 and 2:10 a.m. local time, the crowd overrun those who were waiting to take a holy dip in the river, according to a senior police officer. Hindu holy day of "Mauni Amavasya," around 100,000,000 people came together in Prayagraj town to take a sacred bath at the confluence of three rivers: the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.   As they transported victims from the disaster scene, rescue workers had to go through piles of footwear, clothes, and other items.  Police were spotted carrying stretchers with victims' bodies shrouded in heavy blankets. Train Incident in West India Killed 12 Passengers

At least 12 people were killed in a rail accident in Maharashtra, western India, on Wednesday. The terrible tragedy began when passengers got out of their train, believing a fire, but were hit by another train on the right next track, according to local media reports.  The train stopped at a stop when someone triggered the alarm chain, railway authorities reported to local media. After that, numerous people disembarked on the adjacent tracks and were run over by another passing train. "As per the reports, 12 people were killed in the accident and 5 others are injured,". After the tragedy at Pachora, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis expressed his sadness on X, posting that he was deeply shocked by the tragic loss of lives."  The Maharashtra chief minister also promised to pay for the injured people's medical bills and offered 500,000 in compensation to the relatives of each deceased person.

India:13 Dead After Naval Boat Rammed Into Passenger Ferry

INDIA, New Delhi — (Daily Post) - The Indian naval speedboat collided with a mini passenger ship conveying more than 100 passengers to a well-known tourist spot off the coast of Mumbai on Wednesday, killing at least 13 people, according to the navy.  The Indian Navy reported in a statement that 99 ferry passengers were rescued. When the speedboat swerved and rammed into the ferry "Neelkamal," passengers were en route to Elephanta Island.  The Indian Navy issued a statement expressing grief for the "shocking loss" of life caused by a speedy boat accomplishing engine tests losing control and colliding with a civilian ferry.  One naval service member and a couple workers of an equipment company participating in the testing were among the 13 people declared dead by doctors, according to the naval and government officials. Three Dozen passengers Killed In India's Rocky Region

NEW DELHI, India —  (DP) crowded bus carrying passengers plunged into a deep ravine, killing at least 36 people and injuring many others, a government source informed media on  Monday.  The horrible incident occurred in Uttarakhand, a mountainous Indian state.  According to state media officials, at least 60 passengers were onboard, the bus headed for Ramnagar from the Garhwal division in the northern state of India. As per witnesses, the terrible incident happened when a poorly maintained, speeding bus lost control and plunged into a ravine. The death toll is predicted to climb since the health of a few survivors is critical, officials added.  State officials report that the state administration has launched an inquiry into the accident to determine the reason behind the tragedy.  Deceased and injured were transported to the local government hospitals for postmortem and ministration, one of the rescue members said.

Bollywood Actress Malaika Arora's Father Passed Away

Anil Arora, the father of Bollywood actress and model Malaika Arora, killed himself by plunging from a sixth-floor building's balcony. The father of Bollywood star Arbaaz Khan's ex-wife, Malaika Arora, reportedly jumped to his death from the house's balcony.  When Malaika Arora was eleven years old, her parents split up at that time Anil Arora was employed in the Indian Navy.  After Malaika's father passed away, her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan and the Kapoor family went straight to her mother's house and expressed grief over the demise of Anil Arora.  

Landslides Killed Dozens In India's Southern Region

Roaring landslides in the southern Indian state of Kerala have killed at least 93 people, provincial officials said Tuesday. Multiple landslides have trapped hundreds more people, and extensive search and rescue efforts have begun in Wayanad rural district in Kerala state to find and rescue those who have been stuck.  According to the officials' press conference, rescue operations are hampered by heavy rains and the collapse of a significant road bridge.  Authorities have also reported that around seventy injured people are receiving adequate care in hospitals and that rescuers have saved more than a hundred lives.  The Indian government officials did not immediately reveal any other information about the deceased, such as their names or identities.

Five Indian Soldiers Killed In Ladakh Region

Five Indian troops died after their tank sank in the river while crossing the lake near the Chinese border.  The authorities in the Ladakh region claimed on Saturday that five Indian troops were killed after their tank sank while crossing a river in the Ladakh area, which borders China.  The newly created administrative division, Ladakh, comprises two administrative districts, Leh and Kargil with about 274,289 population per the 2011 census, and division headquarters at Leh district.  ladhak population is split roughly in half between the districts of Leh and Kargil.76.87% population of Kargil is Muslim mostly Shia, with a total population of 140,802, while that of Leh is 66.40% Buddhist, with a total population of 133,48, most of Its economy depends on tourism. Deadly Train Crash Kills Over A Dozen In India

A cargo train smashed into the back of a resting passenger train in India's West Bengal state on Monday morning, killing at least 15 people and injuring scores, according to investigators, Railway officials blamed the disaster on negligent driving.   The police department said that over 2 dozen more persons were hurt in the tragic incident in the Darjeeling district.   The Kanchanjunga Express got stuck in an accident while traveling from the northeastern city of Agartala to Kolkata, West Bengal's capital.  The incident caused three passenger train carriages to derail. PM Narendra Modi declared that the relatives of the deceased would get £1890 in compensation, while the injured would receive £472.

Tropical Storms Unleashed Havoc In India & Bangladesh, killing scores

Cyclone Remal killed at least 40 people in Bangladesh and India over the weekend, according to reports. Around 25 persons were killed in India's eastern Mizoram region.  Cyclone Remal hit the Bangladeshi coast on Sunday night, harming nearly four million people and destroying thousands of homes. Storms and plenty of rain continued to pour in the vicinity.  Reporters claimed on Sunday that the storm began traveling across the coast in Bangladesh's southern district of Khepupara at around 8 p.m.  Emergency officials and government ministers reported that at least 800,000 people had been evacuated from their houses along the coast and shifted to camps.  Cyclone Remal killed at least 15 people Bangladeshi  officials informed the media.  India and Bangladesh have provided motor boats, medical kits, and other supplies to the people who have been affected by the deadly Tropical Storms. 

India - Rajkot fire claimed 27 lives

According to Indian media reports, children are also among the dead. The fire was so intense that the bodies were completely burnt. Police say that the owner of the gaming zone has been detained and an investigation has been started. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the gaming zone management did not make necessary arrangements for clearance in case of fire. In the Indian state of Gujarat, a gaming zone suffered a fire that brought about 27 deaths and several injuries. The owner of the gaming area has been taken into custody by the police, who have started an investigation.
