Afghan minister, Khalil Haqqani killed In suicide Attack

KABUL, Afghanistan  — (Daily Post) -  Khalil Haqqani, Afghanistan's minister for refugees, was killed in a suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghan state television said yesterday. Khalil Haqqani, Minister for Refugees, was killed on Wednesday when an assailant entered the ministry's Kabul headquarters and blew himself up, according to a news report.  However, the Afghan local news source said that the explosion was a suicide attack and that Khalil-ur-Rehman Haqqani was heading toward the mosque when it happened.  Jalaluddin Haqqani, the founder of the Haqqani network, has a brother named Khalil-ur-Rehman Haqqani. Sirajuddin Haqqani, the current interior minister, is also his uncle.  Anas Haqqani, Khalil-ur-Rehman  Haqqani's nephew acknowledged the death.  The Islamic State claimed responsibility for a suicide attack that assassinated Afghanistan's refugee minister in his Kabul office, according to a  terrorist watchdog Website.

Several Killed & Wounded In Two IEDs Attacks In Afghanistan

The explosion that occurred late Sunday night in the Central neighborhood of Sar-e-Pol province led to fatalities, according to the local Afghan media. At least 2 people were killed and 15 injured in an explosion that took place in the Sar-e-Pol region of Afghanistan on Sunday.   The same source claimed that at least 2 people were found dead close to the explosion site and that at least 15 people wounded in the incident were sent to a government hospital in Sar-e-Pol.  The explosion reason was not immediately revealed, and it has not been officially confirmed that a bomb placed inside a bicycle caused it.  Another explosion occurred in Ghazni province on Sunday.  5 technicians were working at an oil tanker Garage when the explosion happened on Saturday afternoon in Ghazni, the province capital.  According to Xinhua, the official claimed that the incident instantaneously killed three people.  The government spokesperson said an investigation is...
