According to the most recent official economic numbers published by the
government's statistics department elaborated that Iran's annual inflation rate has reached 37%, its lowest in the past 3
years.
The Statistical Center of Iran released data on May 23 that
showed the annual inflation rate for the period of April 11–May 11 was 37
percent, the lowest since 2021.
Since assuming office in August 2021, the government of
late President Ebrahim Raisi took steps to enhance the economy and increase
people's purchasing power.
According to World Bank data published in December 2023,
Iran's GDP grew for a record-breaking fourth year.
The success of the Iranian government in reducing inflation
and bringing stability to the currency market was recognized in the report.
