Saudi Arabia: 8 Pakistani pilgrims killed and six injured when fire broke out in hotel

According to the Foreign Office of Pakistan (FO), a massive fire at a hotel in the Saudi city of Mecca killed 8 Pakistanis and wounded 6 others on Saturday.

The FO said in a statement today, "We have information of eight Pakistanis who were killed and six others injured in the incident." 

The fire, according to numerous sources, erupted on the third floor of the hotel on Ibrahim Khalil Road in Mecca City.

"Our Jeddah mission is in contact with local authorities to provide assistance to the victims and their families," he said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed their sincere sadness and grief over the loss of precious lives of Pakistani pilgrims, according to state-run Pakistan Radio. 

The Prime Minister of Pakistan has instructed the Ministry of Religion to look after the health of the injured pilgrims and assist the affected families as much as possible.

It was also reported that the Prime Minister had sent his thoughts and sympathies to those affected. 

The victims' names and other identifying details were not immediately published by Kingdom media.

Iran, US Nuclear Talks: Both Parties Will Meet Again Next Week

 O n Saturday, Iran and the United States announced that they will hold more talks next week.  Through an Omani official serving as a mediator, Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, and Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi exchanged messages. Both sides have classified Muscat's first round of indirect talks as productive. Iranian state TV said that the nuclear talks between the two countries happened in a "positive vibe.
