100 + Killed In Blasts At A Memorial Parade In Iran

On the 4th anniversary of the martyrdom of late Iranian commander, Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, at least 105 people were killed and 190 were injured in multiple blasts on Wednesday. 

As per the Iranian local media, the first explosion occurred at 15:04 local time as a large crowd gathered on a road that led to a cemetery that houses General Soleimani's burial. 

At the same location, there was another explosion fifteen minutes later. 

The deadly incident took place close to the Saheb al-Zaman mosque In the southern city of Kerman.

 Two separate bombings killed at least 105 people, including children, and injured 190 others. 

No other piece of information about the deceased was immediately released by the Iranian government authorities.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene shortly after receiving the information about the deadly blasts local source reported, who added that the bodies were being taken to a hospital for identification. 

Authorities reported that several of the injured were in life-threatening situations.

Two sources told the Daily Post news blog that the attacker or attackers detonated two explosive-laden bags equipped with remote controls. 

The incident has been characterized as a terrorist attack by the Iranian authorities.
