Protests
were held in numerous cities in occupied Palestine on Saturday calling for a
prisoner exchange with Palestinian factions in Gaza, as well as early
elections, according to local media.
Several thousand people marched across occupied Palestine, including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Caesarea, asking for a deal that would result in the freeing of Gaza detainees, Anadolu Agency reported.
Protesters in Tel Aviv waved placards accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of lacking concern about the fate of Gaza's detainees.
Israel says that the Palestinian Resistance group Hamas currently has approximately 120 Zionists in Gaza.
Hundreds of people marched near Haifa's Horev Junction, holding banners with the same demands.
Disregarding a UN Security Council decision that calls for an immediate cease-fire, Israel has been under worldwide criticism for its ongoing, ruthless assault on Gaza following a Hamas strike on October 7.
