Beijing, (Daily Post). China slammed Sweden on Wednesday after a recent incident involving the burning of copies of the Muslim holy book Quran.
"Freedom of expression cannot be used to incite cultural or ethnic bias and tear society apart," said Wang Wenbin, a spokesperson for China's Foreign Ministry, referring to the incident, which sparked widespread condemnation throughout the Muslim world.
According to China's Global Times, Wang further said, "We hope that Sweden seriously respects the religious beliefs of minority groups.

Pakistan, as well as other Muslim countries, have criticized Sweden for allowing Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the far-right organization Stram Kurs (Hard Line), to disobey the Quran while under Swedish police protection.
