ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Foreign Minister Bilawal
Bhutto-Zardari chatted on Saturday about enhancing relations between Islamabad, Tehran, and Moscow.
Pakistan's foreign minister
made the remarks in an online interview with Al-Jazeera during a recent visit to Iraq,
while highlighting Islamabad's commitment to increasing cooperation with
Moscow.
He emphasized that they wanted to remain impartial in the Ukraine crisis.
According to the Pakistani media, he
said Pakistan seeks deep and meaningful relations with Russia.
Regarding relations with Iran, the foreign minister said that a border market was recently established on the Iran-Balochistan border to enhance bilateral trade, and work is also underway for the transfer of power from Iran to Balochistan.
Bilawal described the
restoration of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran as a
"positive development".
"This is positive news not
only for the two countries but for the whole region and for us," he said,
stressing that engagement can solve all problems and pave the way for a
peaceful outcome.
