ICJ Verdict In Palestinian Favor Can Lead To Israel's Suspension From UN

The President of the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organization said," If the International Court of Justice finds in favor of Palestine, it might be a good basis for suspending the Israeli administration from the United Nations".

Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid, President of the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organization (MAPIM), discussed Gaza with Mehr News Agency on the sidelines of the International Conference of Al-Aqsa Strom and Awakening of Human Conscience about the developments in Gaza and the ongoing Israeli regime's crimes in the besieged Palestinian area.

Azmi Abdul Hamid said about South Africa's appeal against the Israeli government at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) that the country's petition makes an excellent argument and is quite significant.

He continued adding that the response by Israel's occupying authority seemed to be quite feeble.

"I have a gut that the case is going to go in favor of South Africa because there is strong evidence and irrefutable proof that the genocide truly happened," said the head of MAPIM.

South Africa filed a case against Israel before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in November, accusing the government of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza as part of an ongoing bombardment that has claimed over 23,000 lives and left the encircled region in rubble.

He stressed, "This time, I'm confident we'll be able to confirm that Israel is a criminal and has committed genocide at the highest level."
