Coach-Trailer Collision In KSA Left 5 Pakistani Umrah Pilgrims Dead

Saudi Arabia, Riyadh —  Pakistani Umrah pilgrims lost their lives in a tragic bus accident en route to Madinah. According to the Saudi government and rescue teams, the pilgrims were traveling from Al-Badr over the weekend when their bus collided with a trailer. The identities of the victims have been disclosed by the Saudi authorities. Saudi officials said that all the victims were from the Bahawalnagar district in Punjab. Two deceased women, Rukhsana Bibi and Amina Bibi, were from village 228/9-R. The third female victim was from village 201, Murad.  The two elderly male victims came from village 39/3-R and Dahranwala town in Bahawalnagar, respectively. The victims' family members have communicated to local media that the deceased will be interred in Saudi Arabia, following the completion of all medico-legal procedures.

Pakistan Frees Over 150 Afghans

KABUL, Afghanistan —    The Ministry of Repatriation and Refugees (MORR) reports that 175 more Afghan citizens returned home on Sunday after being released from Pakistani prisons. According to border authorities in Kandahar's Spin Boldak town, the ministry announced via social media that 175 Afghans were apprehended in various regions of Pakistan, where they subsequently spent periods of detention ranging from one to three days. The refugees who returned were taken back to their home regions after receiving humanitarian assistance, according to the government. Approximately 130 Afghan refugees were released from Pakistani prisons and repatriated on Thursday and Friday.  Over the past year, Pakistan has deported thousands of Afghans who were imprisoned and returned to Afghanistan.

Iran, US Nuclear Talks: Both Parties Will Meet Again Next Week

 O n Saturday, Iran and the United States announced that they will hold more talks next week.  Through an Omani official serving as a mediator, Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, and Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi exchanged messages. Both sides have classified Muscat's first round of indirect talks as productive. Iranian state TV said that the nuclear talks between the two countries happened in a "positive vibe. On April 13, President Trump said that the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran in Oman are "progressing well." He made this announcement while addressing reporters aboard Air Force One before attending a UFC event in Miami.

Iran: Saudi Arabia and Iran can serve as examples of regional collaboration

  TEHRAN, Iran —    President  Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran posits that the Islamic Republic and Saudi Arabia have the potential to serve as a paradigm for regional cooperation. Masood added that Islamic countries must unite to achieve peace, security, and lasting economic growth in the region. Israel Wants Indefinite Military Presence in Syria, Gaza & Lebanon

"The Israeli military isn't relocating people from cleared areas as it used to," Israel Katz said on Wednesday. The Israeli defense minister, Israel Katz, has announced his intention to maintain its  armed forces' presence   in Syria,  Lebanon, and  the Gaza Strip. Blast in Mastung, Balochistan: 3 Martyred, 16 Injured

Quetta, Pakistan — A coach transporting police officials in the Mastung district of Balochistan, Pakistan, was targeted by unidentified assailants on Tuesday morning. Authorities reported that 3 police officers were martyred, and at least 16 others sustained injuries following an improvised explosive device (IED) blast. The condition of the two constables injured in the attack is critical.  All the wounded victims have been taken to the hospital, and the seriously injured have been transferred to Quetta," the government spokesperson told the media. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have condemned the terrorist attack and conveyed their profound sorrow over the tragic loss of the Balochistan Constabulary cops.  Addressing the law and order situation in Balochistan, President Asif Ali Zardari assured that all possible efforts will be made to eliminate terrorism.  He also reaffirmed his commitment with the slogan "Pakistan Khappy."

Passenger van Smashed Into Trailer In KPK leaving 10 Dead

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - An  accident occurred on Tuesday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district.  As reported by rescue teams, a speeding passenger van collided with a trailer on the Indus Highway. The tragic crash happened when a passenger wagon cruising from Dera Ismail Khan to Peshawar smashed into a truck near Meetha Khel village, Union Council, in the Karak District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.  Rescue teams and villagers reacted quickly to the deadly scene. Rescue personnel conveyed the injured and deceased to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Karak.  4 of the seriously injured were moved to Peshawar for better medical care. Sadly, two of them passed away in the hospital.  A local law enforcement officer reported that the identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed. Authorities have detained the injured trailer driver for further investigation.

Pakistan Plans to Launch Its First International Cargo Train To Russia In March

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN  —   On March 15, 2025, Pakistan Railways will test its first international freight train link to Russia. According to Pakistani media outlets, this new train link, based on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)   signed with Russia in June 2024, will enhance regional trade by linking Pakistan with Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia. The cargo service would transport textiles, agricultural products, and food from Pakistan while also allowing Russian oil, gas, steel, and industrial commodities to be imported. This new project aims to cut transportation costs, boost efficiency, and strengthen Pakistan's role as a major regional economic gateway. As per the latest reports, the Pakistan Railway Freight Transportation Company (PRFTC) is collaborating closely with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to acquire containerized goods for the trial.

USA: 67 killed After passenger plane crashed in Washington DC

Washington DC, USA— (Daily Post) - Approximately 67 people were killed when an American Airlines passenger aircraft crashed in Washington DC.  A US Army Black Hawk helicopter crashed into the icy Potomac River close to Reagan Washington National Airport on Wednesday, after a deadly collision with a passenger Jet.  All of the passengers were killed when an American Airlines flight collided with a helicopter as it headed to Reagan Airport in Washington.  The passenger plane and helicopter fell into the Potomac River, killing everyone on board, according to President Donald Trump. At least 28 corpses have been retrieved from the river where the Blackhawk chopper and Aircraft 5342 crashed.  Authorities said it is improbable that anyone survived the terrible incident.  Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari all conveyed their deep sorrow at the loss of precious lives. 

India: Stampede At Maha Kumbh festival Killed 39 Devotees

New Delhi, India —  At least 39 pilgrims were killed and 60 more were injured in a stampede at the Kumbh Mela, also called the Maha Kumbh Mela, in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday dawn, according to the government.   Between 1:00 and 2:10 a.m. local time, the crowd overrun those who were waiting to take a holy dip in the river, according to a senior police officer. Hindu holy day of "Mauni Amavasya," around 100,000,000 people came together in Prayagraj town to take a sacred bath at the confluence of three rivers: the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.   As they transported victims from the disaster scene, rescue workers had to go through piles of footwear, clothes, and other items.  Police were spotted carrying stretchers with victims' bodies shrouded in heavy blankets. 6 killed In Multan After liquefied Petroleum Gas Tanker Explosion

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan  — (Daily Post)- Multan Police said on Monday that a truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas caught fire and blew up yesterday night in an industrial area in Multan, killing 6 people and injuring 38 others. The explosion shattered the windows and roofs of adjacent houses, as well as damaged material inside the dwelling.  Although the on-site situation has been under control, nearby residences have been temporarily evacuated as a precaution.  There was no clear indication of the cause of the purported explosion.  Multan Deputy Commissioner said the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority had also been brought in for the rescue services.  The fire was effectively put out by rescue teams.  The victim's identity could not be determined immediately. Pakistani Military Ramped-Up Counter-Insurgency Operations, Killing 30 Terrorists

  ISLAMABAD, Pakistan  — Thirty terrorists were killed in multiple Counter-Insurgency Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province on January 24–25, 2025, ISPR reported.  Security forces executed one of three intelligence-based operations in the Lakki Marwat district.    In the operation, soldiers successfully attacked the insurgents' site, killing 18 and injuring 6 more. A stabbing incident in Germany Costs 2 lives

Berlin, Germany—(Daily Post)- A 28-year-old Afghan man stabbed a two-year-old child and his 41-year-old father in a German park, killing both. Police officers closed off the public park after two more people were critically injured and moved to the hospital. The state interior minister claims that the suspect, who had been jailed at least three times before for suspicious conduct, was let go after psychiatric therapy. Joachim Herrmann, the interior minister of Bavaria, said that he was supposed to return to Afghanistan after his refugee application was turned down. The incident is still being investigated, according to the police. The attack occurred at Schöntal Park in Aschaffenburg, about 36 kilometers southeast of Frankfurt, at approximately 11:45.

Train Incident in West India Killed 12 Passengers

At least 12 people were killed in a rail accident in Maharashtra, western India, on Wednesday. The terrible tragedy began when passengers got out of their train, believing a fire, but were hit by another train on the right next track, according to local media reports.  The train stopped at a stop when someone triggered the alarm chain, railway authorities reported to local media. After that, numerous people disembarked on the adjacent tracks and were run over by another passing train. "As per the reports, 12 people were killed in the accident and 5 others are injured,". After the tragedy at Pachora, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis expressed his sadness on X, posting that he was deeply shocked by the tragic loss of lives."  The Maharashtra chief minister also promised to pay for the injured people's medical bills and offered 500,000 in compensation to the relatives of each deceased person.

Deadly Fire In Hotel In Turkey Killed 76 People

ANKARA, Turkey — (Daily Post) - A blaze annihilated a Turkish hotel and killed at least 76 and injured 53 others. At 03:27 a.m local time, during the School holiday season, the 12-story, wooden-clad Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu City caught fire as 234 visitors slept. However the cause of the fire is unknown, Bolu Governor Aydin said initial investigations identified the fire began in the hotel's restaurant area on the fourth floor and spread to almost every part of the hotel.  The office of the governor further reported that 30 firefighting vehicles and 28 ambulances were dispatched to the scene. According to Aydin, it took more than an hour for fire brigades to arrive at the scene due to the distance between the hotel in Kartalkaya and the center of Bolu and the cold weather. Iranian General Makes Strategic Visit To Pakistan

General Asim Munir, Pakistan's army chief, HAD invited Iran's top general to visit Pakistan for two days. He is scheduled to meet with senior Pakistani military leaders, as well as the president, prime minister, and defense minister. Major General Mohammad Bagheri, thinks that the Islamic Republic and Pakistan's military and security relations are becoming better with each passing day. General Mohammad Bagheri, who arrived in Islamabad on Sunday, told reporters that "we have witnessed significant developments in the region over the past year, where Iran and Pakistan, as two Islamic nations, are located in the historically important regions of West and South Asia." Topics of discussion include current regional developments, border safety, the fight against terrorism, and growing levels of defense and military cooperation.

Junta Massacred Scores Of Muslims In Myanmar

At least 43 civilians were killed and 52 injured after airstrikes carried out by Myanmar's military junta targeted the village of Kyauk Ni Maw in Ramree Town in the Rakhine state.  Kyauk Ni Maw, a mostly Muslim hamlet in Myanmar, was bombarded by military junta warplanes on June 8th, 2025. Over 502 dwellings were torched by fires produced by the aircraft bombardment, which also caused considerable damage and destruction to the region.  Locals claim that many of the deceased were women, children, and senior citizens.  The Arakan Army (AA), an armed group based in Western Rakhine, controls the targeted village.  The Arakan Army, commonly known as the Arakha Army, is an ethno-nationalist armed group located in Rakhine State (Arakan). Founded in April 2009, the AA is the military branch of the United League of Arakan (ULA). The junta and the AA are fighting to control Rakhine, where the AA has already taken large land areas in the past year.
