In Palestine Recognition Spree One More EU Country Recognizes Palestine

After Norway, Ireland, and Spain now Slovenia has recognized Palestine.  The number of European countries who have recognized Palestine this month has risen to 4. Slovenian Prime Minister  Dr.   Robert Golob, following the footsteps of Norway, Ireland, and Spain, authorized the recognition of an independent Palestinian state.  Prime Minister Dr: Robert Golob said Yesterday that we have decided to recognize Palestine as an independent and sovereign state during a press conference.  He demanded during a news conference that Israel and Hamas put an end to their conflicts and the release of the captives. Since October 7, 2023, Israel's assault on the oppressed Palestinians has martyred more than 37,000 Palestinians.  We should all be ashamed of Isarel's heinous crimes which it has committed Under the nose of the USA & UN.

Bus Accident In Balochistan Claimed 28 Lives

As many as 28 passengers including children and women were reported dead by the local media after a passenger bus lost control and plummeted into a ditch.  The bus was en route to Quetta from Turbat city, a local police officer said.  The unfortunate incident came up in the Balochistan Washuk region early this morning at 5:39 A.M. Deceased and injured were transported to the local government hospitals for postmortem and ministration, one of the rescue members said. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti expressed their condolences to the families of the deceased passengers. 

The inflation rate in Iran shrinks to 37%

According to the most recent official economic numbers published by the government's statistics department elaborated that Iran's annual inflation rate has reached 37%, its lowest in the past 3 years. The Statistical Center of Iran released data on May 23 that showed the annual inflation rate for the period of April 11–May 11 was 37 percent, the lowest since 2021. Since assuming office in August 2021, the government of late President Ebrahim Raisi took steps to enhance the economy and increase people's purchasing power. According to World Bank data published in December 2023, Iran's GDP grew for a record-breaking fourth year.  The success of the Iranian government in reducing inflation and bringing stability to the currency market was recognized in the report.

Pakistani Military Wiped Out Terrorists Hideouts Killing 17

A coordinated intelligence-based operation in KPK ended in the deaths of at least 17 terrorists, according to a news handout issued by the ISPR on Monday.  The same source continued to report that five troops also lost their lives in bloody battles with terrorists.  Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar,  Sepoy Taimoor Malik, Sepoy Nadir Sageer, and Sepoy Muhammad Yasin were among those martyred.  6 more terrorists were successfully eliminated by the security forces and multiple hideouts were raided" during IBO in KPK's Capital.  The ISPR said, "Many firearms, explosives, and ammo were also recovered from the terrorists who were killed.  The killed terrorists were involved in different terrorist activities.  Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, and PPPP  Chairman  Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed their profound sorrow and grief over the loss of military officers.   

Tropical Storms Unleashed Havoc In India & Bangladesh, killing scores

Cyclone Remal killed at least 40 people in Bangladesh and India over the weekend, according to reports. Around 25 persons were killed in India's eastern Mizoram region.  Cyclone Remal hit the Bangladeshi coast on Sunday night, harming nearly four million people and destroying thousands of homes. Storms and plenty of rain continued to pour in the vicinity.  Reporters claimed on Sunday that the storm began traveling across the coast in Bangladesh's southern district of Khepupara at around 8 p.m.  Emergency officials and government ministers reported that at least 800,000 people had been evacuated from their houses along the coast and shifted to camps.  Cyclone Remal killed at least 15 people Bangladeshi  officials informed the media.  India and Bangladesh have provided motor boats, medical kits, and other supplies to the people who have been affected by the deadly Tropical Storms. 

Baghdad Got Rid Of IMF Debts

The economic advisor to the Iraqi government, Mazhar Mohammad, confirmed that Iraq has paid off every loan it had received from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2003 and 2021.  He highlighted that the IMF provided Iraq with just $8 billion to assist macroeconomic stability and financial reforms, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).   The Prime Minister's Advisor for Financial Affairs, Mazhar Mohammed Saleh told reporters that in 2003 and 2021, Iraq bought several economic shipments from the IMF, including urgent loans and long-term monetary support.  A $5.34 billion funding package was authorized by the IMF in 2016 to help Iraq's economic reforms and fight against ISIS. Pakistan: Road mishap Near Kot Addu Claims 11 Lives

The Kot Addu district's local media reported that a vehicle accident close to Chowk Sarwar caused at least 11 deaths and 15 severe injuries. It further added on Saturday that a passenger van collided with a truck, causing the vehicle's body to crash. An ambulance ferried the injured to the district government hospital for medical assistance. Five men, three women, two toddlers, and one girl were among the deceased, according to the hospital management. The accident occurred while family members were traveling to the town of Bhakkar to meet up with relatives. No other information about the victims of the accident was brought to the surface by the government officials.
