Dozens Killed In Pakistan After A Bus Plunged Into River

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan— (Daily Post)- On Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 PM, a passenger coaster carrying wedding party guests from Parishing, Astore, to Chakwal went off the bridge and plummeted into the river near Thalichi.  The groom and his mother are among the 26 persons who died as a result of the catastrophe.  According to authorities, just 14 victims' corpses were retrieved and brought to the Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. Rescue efforts are still ongoing, and the only survivor, the wounded bride was taken to the hospital for treatment.   The coaster hosted 27 people, and only the bride survived rest of the others drowned in deep water.  The Pakistani town of Thalichi is situated in the Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan.  President Mr: Asif Ali Zardari conveyed his sympathies and sadness to the victims' families.   

35 Killed, 43 Injured As Car Ran Over Crowd In China

Beijing, China — (Daily Post)-   A mentally depressed man smashed a car into a crowd in Zhuhai City, China, killing at least 35 people and injuring 43 more, a Police officer said.   On Monday evening, a terrible incident occurred outside a sports complex in Zhuhai, a city in southern China. The probing report claims that Mr. Fan, 62, crashed his vehicle into a stadium in Zhuhai after running over groups of people exercising on the sports track.  Investigators say the 62-year-old driver, known as Mr Fan, is believed to be upset over the divorce agreement. As soon as the incident happened on Monday night in Zhuhai, southern China, police apprehended the 62-year-old assailant and took him to the hospital for self-inflicted knife injuries.  43 wounded people are being treated at a neighboring hospital, and their health is not in danger. 

Saudi Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Is On Iran Trip

MIDDLE EAST NEWS  — (Daily Post) -  Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, the chief of General Staff of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces, arrived in Iran along with a high-level military delegation.  The Saudi army's general chief of staff, Fayyad al-Ruwaili, was scheduled to visit Tehran to meet his Iranian counterpart and discuss collaborating in the defense sector. Saudi military chief of Staff Fayyad Al Ruwaili paid a visit to his Iranian counterpart "General Mohammad on Sunday at the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff Headquarters" in the capital, according to the official news agency IRNA. Fayyad Al-Ruwaili and Iranian Major General Mohammad discussed strategies that would strengthen defense and military cooperation between the two countries. Blast Rattled Quetta Railway Station, Killing Dozens

MIDDLE EAST NEWS — (Daily Post) -   A suicide bomb tore through the Quetta railway terminal on Saturday, killing at least 26 people and injuring many more. According  to  Balochistan  Levies  and Quetta Civil Hospital officials an explosion at the railway station in Quetta, southern Pakistan, killed at least 26 people and injured over 65 more.  A preliminary investigation report said the incident occurred on the platform as passengers were waiting for the Jafar Express, which was set to depart for Peshawar at 9:05 a.m. Police and other law enforcement rescue teams rushed to the scene when they heard about the explosion.  Victims' dead corpses and injured were transported to Quetta Civil Hospital shortly after the horrific incident.  A bystander said that he could see steel nails and bolts strewn at the place of the blast.  The explosion's high severity demolished the station's roof and commercial stalls.  No other identifying information...

Since October 2023, Israeli Invasion Of Lebanon Martyred 3,000 People

MIDDLE EAST NEWS — (Daily Post) - Since October of last year, at least 3,103 Lebanese people have been martyred in Israeli strikes, Lebanon's Ministry of Health has said.  Israel has martyred at least 3,103 people and injured 13,856 more since October of last year, according to the Al Jazeera news agency, which cited the Ministry of Health in Lebanon report. Furthermore, Lebanon's Ministry of Health said on Thursday that Israeli attacks have killed at least 53 people and injured 161 others in the past 24 hours. Three Lebanese soldiers, three Lebanese civilians, and five Malaysian troops from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) were injured in an Israeli strike in Sidon, the main city in south Lebanon. Pakistan: Gun Fight Left 5 Terrorists Killed & 4 Soldiers Martyred

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan  — (Daily Post) -  At least 5 terrorists were killed and 4 Pakistani soldiers were martyred in an attack on the Pakistani army. Netanyahu Sacks War Minister Gallant

MIDDLE EAST NEWS   — (DP) — On Tuesday evening, Israeli mainstream media reported that Benjamin Netanyahu sacked War Minister Yoav Gallant. Netanyahu said that "trust between me and the minister of defense shattered" because of remarks those were taped Tuesday night.   The Israeli publication cited Netanyahu as saying Israel Katz, the foreign minister, will replace Gallant.  Katz was in the administration during the conflict, but none of them had significant military experience, according to the Times of Israel. Yesterday evening, Netanyahu said that his differences with Gallant "remained growing" and "appeared in public's notice in an unacceptable fashion" despite his many attempts to bridge the  differences.  Regardless of being a part of the prime minister's government, Gallant criticized Netanyahu in public for his handling of the Gaza War and his failure to reach a hostage solution.
