Afghanistan, (Daily Post). A powerful explosion rattled the largest Shia mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, claiming 10 lives and injuring 60 more.
As per local news, the explosion claimed the lives of 10 worshipers and injured 60 others.
The number of victims is expected to be even higher than the initial figures, according to the report. According to reports, the explosion occurred at 1 p.m.
The roads leading to the incident site have been blocked by Taliban security forces.
The Director of the Ali Sinai Balkhi hospital said that a large number of victims of the explosion of the Shiite mosque were hospitalized.
The exact figure of victims transported to the hospital was could not be ascertained.
