Iraqi Military Eliminated Scores Of ISIL Terrorists

Iraq,(Daily Post). According to local Iraqi media in Mosul, the Iraqi army has killed more than 40 ISIL terrorists during the recent operations in southern Mosul.

Iraqi news site Al-Maaloma reported that the Iraqi army carried out an operation against the radical elements in southern Mosul, Nineveh province, killing more than 40 fighters from ISIS.

Previously, Iraqi sources claimed that the ISIS leader had been sentenced to death by an Iraqi court last year for killing and plotting attacks on pilgrims.

Another ISIL leader was arrested in Baghdad by the Iraqi People's Mobilization Forces during a security operation last year.

When Iraqi forces overran Mosul city in July 2017, Al-Abadi declared victory over the Islamic State.

However, some surviving elements are sowing turmoil and havoc in an attempt to infiltrate security forces and citizens in order to expand influence in Iraq and Syria’s critical constituencies.
