Packed Market In Nigeria Rocked By Blast, Killing 3, Wounding 19

Nigeria,(Daily Post). A blast at a packed market in eastern Nigeria's Taraba state killed 3 people and injured 19 others, according to local authorities.

An explosion occurred on Tuesday at a food market full of traders in rural Iware, killing three people and injuring more than a dozen others, according to a Taraba police official.

"This was presumably due to an improvised explosive device," Abdullah told Reuters by phone. "The inquiry is underway.

" Nigeria is plagued by unrest, as armed gangs and an Islamist insurgency attacking communities and security objectives in the country's northern regions.
