AFGHANISTAN,(Daily Post). Taliban forces have arrested a suspected Islamic State (ISIS) militant who allegedly planned a bomb attack on a mosque in Afghanistan that martyred at least 13 worshipers, according to police. The attack also injured 15 people.
According to Asif Waziri, spokesman for Balkh District Police, Abdul Hamid
Sangaryar was a key ISIS agent.
"He was the mastermind behind yesterday's mosque attack," Waziri told
AFP.
The Islamic State had claimed responsibility for the bombing that destroyed the
Seh Dekan mosque in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif on Thursday during the
noon prayer.
