According to
a statement from Pakistan's Foreign Ministry, two memorandums of understanding
were signed between Pakistan and Iraq during Foreign Minister Bhutto-Zardari's
visit.
The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Twitter that a "Memorandum of
Understanding to enhance cultural cooperation and abolish visas for diplomatic
and service passports" would be signed.
Bhutto-Zardari will visit historical sites in Iraq, establish the groundwork for Pakistan's own embassy, and focus on areas where the two countries may learn from one another.
A diplomatic passport is a particular kind of passport given to
members of the government, mainly diplomats, who go abroad on business.
They are
given a number of privileges and immunities, including expedited entrance and
diplomatic protection, while they are representing their nation overseas.
