Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was implanted with a pacemaker on Sunday after experiencing an irregular cardiac rhythm, according to reports from Tel Aviv, and is being evaluated in the cardiology department of a Tel Aviv regional hospital.
"The implant procedure was trouble-free and without issues.
Netanyahu was put on a rhythm machine a few days ago after being hospitalized for exhaustion following a vacation on the Sea of Galilee without sufficient sun protection.
Benjamin Netanyahu has apparently been hospitalized multiple times due to cardiac issues, according to his doctor.
Netanyahu's staff reported on Sunday that his release was scheduled for the following day. Meanwhile, the weekly cabinet meeting has been rescheduled.
Beinart said over 70-year-old politician was sent to
the medical center on Saturday night after being diagnosed with a transient
arrhythmia of the heart.
