Pakistan: Bus Packed With Tourists Fell In Gorge Leaving 17 Dead & Wounded

According to the Security forces statement, a bus transporting tourists fell into a ravine on the Karakorum Highway near the Talichi area of Baltistan's Diamer Gilgit district on Sunday, killing at least 5 persons and injuring 12.

The SSP Diamer confirmed the death toll and the number of injured and said the dead included three women, a child, and a man.

The official added that the vehicle was traveling from Lahore to Gilgit.

The injured were sent to a nearby hospital after helping out rescue attempts, the SSP added.

He reported that there were 18 people in the automobile in all.

The local authorities have not yet released the names of the deceased and injured.

Port-au-Prince, Haiti — A human rights group claims that gang members in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, killed at least 184 people, the majority of victims were elderly.
