According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), at least three soldiers were martyred in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a car.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan
— As per the military official source, a suicide bomber attacked a checkpoint
in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, killing and wounding 14
people.
local police officer said
the suicide bombing took place near the Hamedullah Shaheed checkpoint on the
Bannu-Miran Shah highway in the tribal region of North Waziristan near the
Afghan border.
The suicide attack devastated the checkpoint,
killing three members of the paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) and a toddler and
injuring ten civilians, he added.
No group has claimed
responsibility for the suicide attack, according to Devdiscourse.
To apprehend the
offenders, security forces have begun a huge search operation in the area.
A police officer was killed and another was injured in a suicide attack in Balochistan province on
June 24.
A suicide bomber struck a
paramilitary vehicle in Turbat, Balochistan, during the attack.
