Iran Claims To Have Arrested Several Suspects Behind Recent Bombing

According to Istate television, Iranian security agencies apprehended 12 Suspects from 6 different provinces on Friday on suspicion of being involved in two bomb blasts that killed about 100 people attending a memorial service for a dead military leader.

The interior minister announced on Friday that numerous suspects involved in the terrorist attack that killed and wounded 300 + people in the Iranian city of Kerman had been taken into custody.

Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi as stating, "Some people involved in the attack have been apprehended, and information about them will be published later by security services."

Ahmad Vahidi continued to say that the intelligence services' outstanding work made the terrorists' detentions possible.

Two explosions killed 88 people and injured 288 on Wednesday at a Kerman cemetery where crowds had gathered to mark the fourth anniversary of the killing of Soleimani by US forces, according to a government report.

2 ISIL terrorists reportedly set off explosive belts in the crowd.

Earlier reports said two backpacks filled with explosives were remotely detonated at the entrance to the cemetery.

According to a reliable source, the Iranian news agency IRNA confirmed on Thursday that a suicide bomber was the cause of at least one of the explosions in Kerman.

The source said that Security footage and other data showed that a male suicide bomber was definitely to blame for the initial blast.

Afghanistan, (Daily Post). Insurgents attacked two vans in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday, killing at least nine people. "The bombs were installed inside the vans; as a result of those blasts, nine people were killed and 13 were injured," Mohammad Asif Waziri, the commander of Mazar-e-Sharif, said. The local Shi'ite community operated and used the public transportation vans, he added. The Taliban, who seized power following NATO's withdrawal, claimed earlier this week that they had eliminated the majority of the Islamic State's presence in Afghanistan. Dozens Killed In Pakistan After A Bus Plunged Into River

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan— (Daily Post)- On Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 PM, a passenger coaster carrying wedding party guests from Parishing, Astore, to Chakwal went off the bridge and plummeted into the river near Thalichi. The groom and his mother are among the 26 persons who died as a result of the catastrophe. According to authorities, just 14 victims' corpses were retrieved and brought to the Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. Rescue efforts are still ongoing, and the only survivor, the wounded bride was taken to the hospital for treatment. The coaster hosted 27 people, and only the bride survived rest of the others drowned in deep water. The Pakistani town of Thalichi is situated in the Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan. President Mr: Asif Ali Zardari conveyed his sympathies and sadness to the victims' families.

Pakistan: Mastung Blast killed 9 people, including 5 children

On Friday, a bomb attack killed up to 9 people, five of them were children, and injured 29. Authorities informed the media that an improvised explosive device (IED) installed in a motorbike had targeted a school vehicle. The IED explosion occurred on Friday at 8:37 AM near Girls High School at Civil Hospital Chowk in the Mastung district of Balochistan. A day earlier, the Mastung bomb killed nine people, including five children, and injured 29 others. Regarding the incident, a terrorism case has been lodged. Pakistan's Acting President Yousuf Raza Gilani, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vehemently denounced the Mustang explosion. PM and Bilawal conveyed their sadness and anguish over the police officers and schoolchildren's martyrdom.
