Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva spoke out against Israel following Israel's recent bombardment on a declared humanitarian "safe zone" in southern Gaza that resulted in at least ninety-nine Palestinian deaths and about three hundred injuries in tents housing women, children, and senior citizens.

As a direct result of Israeli aggression backed by the West, at least 38,584 Palestinians have been killed since the Israel-Hamas war erupted on October 7 of last year, according to Gaza's Ministry of Health.
