Pakistani Military Fend Off Terrorists Attack On Bannu Cantt

A deadly attack took place at a Bannu military cantonment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, which is situated  330 kilometers east of Islamabad.

On July 15, 2024, the Pakistani military repulsed a terrorist attack on the Bannu cantonment. 

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) sources said that an organized group of terrorists entered the cantonment using a vehicle equipped with explosives.

Terrorists slammed a vehicle equipped with explosives into one of the cantonment's walls, according to the ISPR preliminary report. 

Nevertheless, the troops thwarted the terrorists' attempt to gain entry to the building.

The military responded sharply and aggressively to the attack, killing an entire terrorist group consisting of 10 gunmen in the violent exchange of fire. 



ISPR further added that 8 military officers were also martyred while repelling the Cantonment siege.

Naib Subedar Muhammad Shehzad, Hawaldar Zil Hussain, Havaldar Shehzad Ahmed, Lance Naik Sabz Ali, Sepoys Ashfaq Hussain, Subhan Majeed, Imtiaz Khan, and Arsalan Aslam were among the martyred.

Iran, US Nuclear Talks: Both Parties Will Meet Again Next Week

 O n Saturday, Iran and the United States announced that they will hold more talks next week.  Through an Omani official serving as a mediator, Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, and Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi exchanged messages. Both sides have classified Muscat's first round of indirect talks as productive. Iranian state TV said that the nuclear talks between the two countries happened in a "positive vibe. On April 13, President Trump said that the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran in Oman are "progressing well." He made this announcement while addressing reporters aboard Air Force One before attending a UFC event in Miami.
