US drone strike in Afghanistan Took out Al-Qaeda leader Al-Zawahiri

According to familiar sources with the situation, al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in a CIA drone strike in Afghanistan. According to a person who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the matter, current and former officials began hearing Sunday afternoon that al-Zawahiri had been killed in a drone strike, but the government delayed releasing information until his death was confirmed. White House officials declined to confirm al-Zawari's death but said in a statement that the US had carried out a "successful" counterterrorism operation against a key al-Qaeda target with no "civilian casualties". According to a senior intelligence officer, a US ground team that was in Afghanistan to support the attack has now left.

9 Dead After Vehicles Came Under Terrorists Attack In Afghanistan

Afghanistan, (Daily Post). Insurgents attacked two vans in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday, killing at least nine people. "The bombs were installed inside the vans; as a result of those blasts, nine people were killed and 13 were injured," Mohammad Asif Waziri, the commander of Mazar-e-Sharif, said.  The local Shi'ite community operated and used the public transportation vans, he added.  The Shiite Muslim Hazara community, a minority Muslim sect in Afghanistan, is often attacked by armed groups, including the Islamic State.  The Taliban, who seized power following NATO's withdrawal, claimed earlier this week that they had eliminated the majority of the Islamic State's presence in Afghanistan.  Despite the Taliban claims, attacks on Shia Muslims continue in many parts of the country.

Syria: Gunmen Kill 7 People In Syria's Deir Az Zor province

Ramadan gathering attacked during iftar by ISIS armed group It killed seven people and injured four others in eastern Syria Syria, (Daily Post). According to Arab media suspected ISIL (ISIS) shooters killed seven people and injured four others during a Ramadan-iftar gathering in Deir Az Zor province in northeast Syria. Nouri Hamish, a former spokesman for the US-backed Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, hosted an iftar dinner on Wednesday, marking the end of the fast, at his home in Abu Khashab.  According to the Euphrates Post, the Syrian news organization Iftar party organizer was one of the dead.  The assailants arrived on motorbikes and withdrew after being tackled by villagers, reports said. 

USA: Mississippi Shooting Left 5 Dead

Four people were killed in gun violence in Mississippi, and a possible suspect was found dead The USA,(Daily Post). Local media reported another shooting, this time in Mississippi, in which four people were killed and the suspect was found dead.    Authorities said Wednesday that the possible suspect in the fatal shooting of the owner and two employees of a Mississippi Gulf Coast local hotel, as well as the subsequent death of a person shot during a carjacking, was found dead after a standoff with police.  Jeremy Alesunder Reynolds, 32, was identified as a possible suspect by Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer.   As per the incoming chief of the Gulfport Police Department, Adam Cooper, Reynolds holed up at a Gulfport convenience store after fleeing a stolen vehicle.  Gulfport is located just west of Biloxi, where the shootings at the Broadway Inn Express motel occurred.   Switzer told news outlets that the victims were motel owner Mohammad Moeini, ...

Dozens are killed & injured by electrocution in India

India,(Daily Post). During a religious procession at a temple in Tamil Nadu, southern India, at least 11 people were killed and 15 others were injured.   According to police, the accident occurred when a vehicle collided with a high transmission power line in the Thanjavur district.  A local Hindu had organized the temple parade.   According to an Indian newspaper, electrical sparks caused a truck full of devotees to catch fire.   Two children were among the dead. According to authorities, some of the injured were conveyed to the hospital.    A file was created and the police opened an investigation.    M K Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, also offered his sympathies and declared that the families of those killed in the mishap would be compensated with 500,000 rupees each.    Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his "deep grief" over the incident.   "In this time of grief, my  sympathies...

Several Syrian Soldiers killed In Israeli Aggression
